Rahe Bulverde Elementary School
In 1945, the Bulverde community came together to build a little, three-room, rock school, which consolidated several single-room schoolhouses. Almost three decades later and after several additions and renovations, the school was dedicated to Ernst Rahe, who served as the Headmaster for 34 years. In 2002, Rahe Primary and Bulverde Elementary combined and became known as Rahe Bulverde Elementary. In 2010 Rahe Bulverde Elementary moved to a new campus. Setterfeld’s elementary schoolers could attend beautiful Rahe Bulverde Elementary, which not only has an amazing legacy, but also records of absolute excellence.
Spring Branch Middle School
Spring Branch Middle School was founded and opened its doors in January 1998 as a 7th-grade only campus. It remained a 7th grade campus until 1999-2000, when it expanded to house 7th and 8th graders. In 2006-2007, the campus expanded to its current status of being a 6th through 8th grade campus. Spring Branch currently serves approximately 1085 students at these grade levels. With serveral accounts of outstanding student performances, Spring Branch Middle is a great option for Setterfeld’s students.
Smithson Valley High School
Smithson Valley High School opened in the fall of 1976 in Comal County. The school was named after Benjamin Smithson, one of the very first Texas Rangers, and an early settler of the area. Smithson Valley High School enjoys a rich history of excellence academically and in all of their extracurricular events. In fact, according to the Scientific Business Journal, Smithson Valley High School has been named one of the premier high schools in the San Antonio area for the last two years in a row.
